Job Description and Duties

Deputy to the Director, Department of Public Works. Supervise the Engineer Services, Bldg Trades staff, and Groundskeeping Departments including work order help desk. Oversee the development of Engineering plans and drawings for projects, service contracts, Facilities Inventory and Support Plan (FISP), Installation’s assigned Infrastructure Status Reports (ISR). Manages a 1338 acre intermediate size military installation consisting of 300+ structures, a 557 acre airfield, and over 9 miles of roads. Plan for construction and buildings cyclic maintenance programs, infrastructures, roads, the utilities programs, i.e. water treatment, sewer disposal, co-generation power plant, gas and oil furnaces, transformers, chlorinators, pumps, compressors, condensers, steam lines, water lines, gas lines, steam traps, meters, recorders and electronic and fire alarm systems. Work with contractors and vendors, approve and monitor project schedules.
