Model Integrator

The Opportunity :

Support Air Force operational analysis and decision-making by integrating, containerizing, and modernizing legacy and current M&S tools — including AFSIM — into a flexible, Python-driven framework. You’ll be the technical lead responsible for enhancing scenario development, reducing model execution times, and enabling faster adjudication cycles across multiple systems and data environments.

This is not a traditional software engineering role. We’re looking for a seasoned, high-performance coder who can jump into unfamiliar codebases, work across toolchains and scripting languages, and deliver fast, tangible results — not documentation-heavy dev cycles.

You Have :

5+ years of experience using Python for scripting, tool integration, automation, and environment management

Experience with modeling and simulation tools in a DAF or DoD environment

Experience working directly in production codebases, including modifying, refactoring, and enhancing existing tools and models

Experience with containerization with tools such as Docker, Podman, or Singularity, for encapsulating large and complex models

Ability to translate or wrap non-Python code, such as C++, Java, or MATLAB, into Python for extensibility or integration

Ability to work in classified environments and operate with limited connectivity or constrained infrastructure

Ability to solve problems through following processes, while maintaining security and mission alignment

TS / SCI clearance

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
