Benefits :The ideal candidate for this receptionist type position will have a minimum of 1-3 years of medical office experience. Excellent communication skills are essential. A knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills are a must.
Job duties include but are not limited to :
Providing information to patients
Obtain patient signature on specified documents
Schedule follow-up appointments
Enter patient recall information
Verify phone number for referrals
Answer phones and schedule appointments
Confirm appointments for next business day
Clerical duties as assigned
Qualifications :
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) (Required)
Minimum one year recent experience working in a medical facility as a patient services representative (PSR) or check-out person. (Preferred)
Skills :
Skill in tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions
Accurate typing skills
Ability to operate general office equipment
Ability to manage multi-line phone system
Abilities :
Ability to learn and retain information regarding procedures
Ability to project a pleasant and professional image
Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks
Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others
Work in team atmosphere
Schedule :
After introductory period schedule will be 9- 5 : 30 Monday & Friday; 10 - 6 : 30 Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. You must be able to work this schedule.
