Engineering Manager For Mechanical Analysis

As an Engineering Manager for Mechanical Analysis, you will provide leadership to a diverse technical team of Engineers and Contractors responsible for the performance of multiple mechanical analysis tasks including stress, vibration, acoustics, and seismic / dynamic. You will work collaboratively with other Engineering Teams, Business Leaders, and Project Managers to ensure successful execution of engineering activities in support of the GVH BWRX-300 projects.

Roles And Responsibilities

As the Engineering Manager you will :

• Report to the Sr. Design Engineering Manager.
• Provide technical and managerial leadership for the team.
• Inspire, hire, coach and ensure the development of the team technical talent / depth.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with other internal engineering managers, business leaders, project managers and stakeholders.
• Interface with external partners, customers, the NRC or other applicable country specific regulatory agency, as required on technical issues.
• Provide leadership supporting performance and program management of assigned work and ensure on-time fulfillment of engineering commitments in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, industry standards and regulatory agency guidelines.
• Provide the oversight and be responsible to plan, organize and manage the delivery of technical activities / tasks in support of engineering deliverables.
• Responsible for Mechanical Analysis technical proposal writeups including scope of work descriptions, deliverable descriptions and schedules, technical exceptions and clarifications.
• Ensure that design requirements are incorporated into analyses and design documents.
• Provide guidance and manage external resources to ensure the quality of deliverables, enable flexibility and improved cost positions.
• Responsible for maintaining teams strategic KC&T activities including individual development plans and team critical skill matrix and competence matrix.
• Support commercial and marketing opportunities to develop new business opportunities.
• Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company.
• Support GVH initiatives, process improvement, simplification, and design to cost.
• Support GVH Nuclear Energy quality requirements, including participation in design reviews, initiating, and responding to corrective actions.
