Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a busy Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit. The role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The RN will need to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment and support less experienced core staff.

Location : Everett, Washington, United States

Responsibilities :

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
• Float between L&D and Postpartum units based on need.
• Assist patients in their routine activities of daily living.
• Collect patient data and specimens.
• Communicate patient status and reports changes in patient condition to licensed professional.
• Assist patient care team by performing and explaining designated patient care procedures.
• Answers unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
• Performs data entry into electronic medical database systems.
• Coordinates equipment / supply needs.
