DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION :
The mission of the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) is to improve the quality of life for all who live, learn, work, and play in the city by preventing illness and injury; encouraging healthy behaviors; and ensuring safe and healthy environments. CPHD protects and promotes the health of everyone in Cambridge through services, information, policies, and regulations.
Summary :
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for patients in accordance with established Nursing Standards of Care. He / she demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nursing care and is directly reports to a designated nurse manager and / or clinical manager / off shift manager.
Qualifications :
- 1 year of experience as an RN in a Public Health setting required
- BSN preferred
- Current MA RN Licensure
- Current AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross) BLS Provider Certification required
