Location : We are seeking an experienced Culinary Administrative Assistant for the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex located in Birmingham, AL.

Job Overview : Sodexo Live! is looking for a motivated and organized Culinary Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of the Culinary Department at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex. This role will be essential in coordinating documentation, schedules, communication, and administrative processes for our culinary leadership team.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Provide administrative support to the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs.
• Maintain kitchen staff schedules, timekeeping accuracy, and event rosters.
• Assist with prep lists, production sheets, order guides, and menu documentation.
• Organize and file documentation related to food safety, health inspections, and operational compliance.
• Coordinate internal communications between culinary and other departments such as operations, warehouse, HR, and concessions.
• Track and organize receipts, invoices, and procurement-related documents.
• Help prepare paperwork and signage for event-day kitchen operations.
• Assist with onboarding and credentialing of culinary team members during event season.
• Maintain inventory records, receiving logs, and food transfer documents as needed.
• Support with special projects and event prep during peak times or large-scale events.

Qualifications :

Other Requirements : Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
