Description
Keches Law Group, P.C. is a well-established law firm with offices in Milton, Bridgewater, and Worcester, practicing in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury, and medical malpractice.
We are seeking an experienced, full time Legal Assistant to join our team in our team in Milton, MA.
Duties :
- Managing all telephone communications for the assigned attorney(s) by answering or directing inquiries
- Producing information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics
- Coordinating case preparation
- Initiating telecommunications which may include organizing client conferences, attorney meetings, and other special functions
- Requesting reports and medical records from doctors' offices, hospitals, urgent cares, etc. and preparing them for court
- Representing attorney(s) by communicating and obtaining information, following up on delegated assignments, and knowing when to act and when to refer matters to the attorney(s)
- Maintaining client confidence by keeping client / attorney information confidential
- Enhancing the reputation of the department and the organization by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to the position
- Continuing to communicate with and update the clients throughout the process of their case to help ensure the client has all the correct and relevant information
- Opening and scanning of mail addressed to the attorney(s)
- Filing documents and updating client files

The anticipated salary range for this position, which we in good faith expect to pay at the time of posting, is $50,000-$80,000 annually. This range allows us to make an offer that reflects multiple factors, including experience, education, qualifications, and job-related knowledge and skills, as well as internal pay equity. It's not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as we strive to provide room for future and continued salary growth. Base pay is just one component of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role, however the employee may at times be required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
