Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Naperville, IL is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide essential support to an elementary school with a student population of approximately 380. This contract aligns with the school calendar. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 : 15 AM to 3 : 45 PM.
Key responsibilities include collaborating as a vital team member on initial and re-evaluations for special education students, supporting Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) through data review, and assisting students experiencing crisis situations. The psychologist will contribute to district-wide evaluations, including those for parochial schools, under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. Importantly, this position does not involve providing direct IEP therapy or counseling sessions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience :
- Valid School Psychologist certification appropriate for Illinois
- Experience working in an elementary education setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education evaluations, MTSS processes, and crisis intervention
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Excellent organizational, communication, and data analysis skills
