Strong Machine Learning and Statistical Modeling Skills - Proficiency in supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, including logistic regression, decision trees, ensemble methods, clustering, and deep learning. Experience with Recommendation Systems - Hands-on experience designing and implementing collaborative filtering, content-based, or hybrid recommendation systems. Familiarity with Generative AI Techniques - Working knowledge of generative models (e.g., GANs, VAEs, LLMs) and their application in financial services, customer engagement, or internal automation. Proficiency in Programming and Data Tools - Strong coding skills in Python or R, with experience using libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow / PyTorch, pandas, and SQL for data manipulation and model development. Cloud and MLOps Experience - Experience deploying models using cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, model monitoring, and version control. Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills - Ability to translate complex analytical insights into actionable business recommendations and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including fraud, IT, and product. Education & Experience : Bachelor's Degree in a Quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and 6+ years experience. Zions Bancorporation is currently looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our Enterprise Data Science team. This role focuses on delivering insight from data that is actionable and will drive revenue growth, cost reduction, and meet new regulatory requirements. The team works on strategic projects with tactical components that aim to drive all business decisions to be data driven.
The Data Scientist will be responsible for end-to-end analytic projects including :
