Job Announcement :
Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to support, and assist in the administration of all fitness and sports programs, activities, and special events for the Alvin Community. Provides customer service, assist in training and support staff and volunteers in the health and fitness division. This position may include service or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of the job during emergency situations for the benefit of the public. The specialist is under the direct supervision of the Recreation Coordinator. The Rec Specialist- Health and Fitness will support full and part-time staff, volunteers, and organizations. This includes seasonal and part-time spot and fitness staff and instructors.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School diploma / GED equivalent.
Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Current fitness certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Current official training or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Salary :
Starting Salary : $16.31
