Position Summary :
As a Fabricator at Schwing America, you’ll play a key role in crafting steel and aluminum parts from detailed drawings using a variety of tools and equipment. If you thrive in a hands-on environment and take pride in producing quality work, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities :
- Fabricate steel and aluminum components based on engineering drawings
- Operate and maintain equipment such as CNC Plasma Cutters, brakes, saws, radial drills, punch presses, and hand tools
- Set up and run saws and drills at proper speeds and feeds
- Program miters using the band saw
- Operate press brake with correct dies and determine bend lines / tooling using bend allowances
- Use grinders to deburr flame-cut parts
- Safely move materials and parts using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Operate barcode scanner / computer (SAP) to track labor time and pick materials
- Inspect completed units to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
- Handle and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with company guidelines
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting efforts as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
