Sylvan Learning is looking for tutors for Sylvan of Nutley. We need math Tutors that can teach up to Pre Calculus or Calculus. As an Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities include : Just Teaching. No

Lesson Plans. No Preparation.

As a part-time Sylvan Instructor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group, 3 : 1 setting. We offer instruction in Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills, SAT / ACT prep, grades K-12.

As a part-time Instructor, we have shifts available 2-12+ hours per week. We are very flexible with our schedule and can work around your weekly schedule. We are open for instruction in the afternoons and evenings on weekdays, as well as on Saturday. You let us know what days and times work well for you each week and we will work around your schedule.

As a successful Instructor, you will :

Deliver quality education Teach using Sylvan based programs Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour while they work with equipment and materials Reward students for completed assignments Evaluate and document student progress Communicate student needs to the center manager

Inspire Students Develop a rapport with students and establishes a fun learning environment Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan

We require : Bachelor's degree

Math Instructors do not need a teaching degree
