Job Title : Masker

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Masker for a large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. This first shift position (6am-2 : 30pm) offers a chance to be part of a dedicated team, where your efforts will directly contribute to the quality and efficiency of our operations. Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with overtime available daily and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Seal parts to be painted or dipped, ensuring all masking procedures are followed.
• Support the masking department by completing the daily production schedule.
• Ensure optimal quality of work completed.
• Inspect 100% in-process masking on all parts.
• Communicate directly with inspectors and supervisors on First Article and masking concerns.
• Collaborate with fellow maskers on technical improvements and efficiency.
• Develop and implement new masking techniques.
• Photograph new part numbers and send to customers for verification.
• Maintain accountability for good attendance and inform management of any quality issues.
• Mask one piece for each incoming job into the department.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct receiving inspection, including counting, visual inspection, and completion of previous operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized department daily.

Work Environment

You will be part of a team of around 10-15 maskers, each working in their own space on different parts. The work area may have a noticeable smell due to sealants used in the process, but it fosters a team-oriented atmosphere where collaboration is key.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00 / hr.
