Position : Electrical Estimator

Location : Fairburn, GA

Employment Type : Full-Time, On-site (Hybrid after training considered)

Compensation : $100,000 - $120,000 base salary + comprehensive benefits

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead the development of accurate, competitive, and complete estimates for industrial and commercial electrical projects. This individual will collaborate with project managers, vendors, and leadership to analyze scope, prepare detailed takeoffs, and support preconstruction strategies that drive profitable execution.

Key Responsibilities Scope Review & Document Control

Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to understand project requirements.

Identify scope gaps, clarifications, and exclusions.

Organize project documents for estimate tracking and future reference.

Estimating & Quantity Takeoffs

Perform detailed electrical takeoffs (materials, labor, equipment).

Apply labor units, productivity factors, and market pricing.

Utilize estimating software and industry standards to produce cost estimates.

Maintain a working knowledge of material costs, production trends, and regional pricing.

Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor / vendor proposals.

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and trade partners.

Align vendor scopes and prevent gaps or overlaps in estimates.

Proposal Development

Prepare final proposal packages, including bid forms and clarifications.

Partner with operations and leadership to align pricing strategy and goals.

Support business development initiatives and internal estimating reviews.

Project Support & Collaboration

Assist preconstruction and project management teams during estimate handoff.

Participate in after-action reviews to improve accuracy and competitiveness.

Contribute to strategic growth and estimating best practices.

Qualifications

5+ years of electrical estimating experience in industrial and / or mission-critical construction projects.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC codes, installation methods, and construction sequencing.

Proficient with estimating software such as Accubid, Trimble, or comparable platforms .

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.

Proven experience communicating with vendors, subcontractors, and engineering teams.

Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and documentation.

Collaborative, organized, and detail-driven professional.

Preferred Experience

Industrial electrical projects (minimum 2 years; ideally 5+)

Large-scale or heavy industrial applications

Experience in mission-critical or distribution environments

Demonstrated success producing competitive proposals
