Licensed Dental Hygienist in the State of Illinois. Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.

PROGRAM : Dental Clinic
TITLE : Dental Hygienist
POSITION : Full- or Part-Time
BASIC FUNCTION :
Under the Doctor's supervision, responsible for providing preventative care, oral hygiene care, and appropriate x-rays for all special needs (DD / ID) individuals served.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Patient Care : Ensure patient safety, comfort, and understanding of treatment. Review patient medical history, update paperwork, and complete treatment documentation.
- Preventative Care : Provide preventative care, oral hygiene instructions, and perform necessary x-rays for special needs individuals under the Doctor's supervision.
- Confidentiality : Maintain a clear understanding and practice of confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. Update and obtain patient medical information as necessary.
- Professional Development :
- Remain current with all education required by the State of Illinois for license renewal.
- Advocacy : In compliance with Milestone, Inc. philosophy and policies toward Human Rights, intervene immediately on behalf of individuals served and report to the appropriate agencies or Supervisor.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
QUALIFICATIONS :
Pay Range : $33.27-43.81
Benefits : Milestone offers all full-time employees medical, dental, life, 401k, and other voluntary insurance on the first of the month following sixty days of employment. Part-time employees are offered dental insurance on the first of the month following sixty days of employment. Personal days are accrued every quarter based on your seniority. Vacation time begins after six months of employment.
