Insight Global is seeking an experienced and confident material planner to join a leading space company in Middle River Maryland. The Material Planner plays a central role in coordinating material requirements and production schedules across engineering, supply chain, and operations. This position is responsible for forecasting demand, building and executing two-week material plans, and ensuring timely delivery of parts and assemblies to the site. It involves managing ERP data including BOMs and master data, releasing purchase and work orders, and adjusting plans for engineering changes. The planner creates visibility into material status through reporting tools, promotes cross-functional collaboration, and ensures compliance with safety protocols, all while adapting strategies to meet evolving production needs.

Required Skills & Experience

3years of experience as Material Planner, Production Planner, or equivalent

Experience with planning systems (e.g., SAP ERP, Coups)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Proven knowledge of material planning fundamentals : master data management, order policy, BOM management, planning release, and fulfillment.

Experience in composite manufacturing, automotive, or production line environments.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience with AS9100, US export controls (ITAR and EAR)
