Parking Meter Collector - Driving

Responsibilities

Collect parking revenue from parking meters and pay stations from assigned collection routes, report any meter malfunctions, and any other safety related items.

• Collect parking revenue from all assigned parking meters and pay stations utilizing specialized keys and canisters to properly secure and deposit the monies retrieved
• Report any and all meter malfunctions through the provided reporting device during the collection process
• Use and comprehend assigned collection route maps to efficiently collect all parking revenue from the parking meters and pay stations
• Securely load and unload specialized canister vaults used during the revenue collection process
• Work outside to perform duties, regardless of weather conditions (e.g. rainy, hot, humid, snowy, etc.)

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, holidays and / or week-ends may be required.

The individual will be required to have and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and listen. The employee is required to work outside in varying and harsh weather conditions (cold, rainy, snowy, harsh, hot, humid).
