Senior Database Engineer I Oracle Blizzard

Job Description :

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join a global team responsible for critical Oracle infrastructure that powers games like World of Warcraft and Hearthstone as well as other systems in our environment. This role will focus on operational excellence of our Oracle database platforms including Exadata ZDLRA and cloud-based deployments.

You will join a team of senior database engineers who collaborate with game development teams to ensure high performance and availability and assist in our transition from on-prem infrastructure to Oracle Exadata in the Cloud.

Key Responsibilities :

• Exadata & ZDLRA : Administer and tune Exadata and ZDLRA platforms ensuring uptime and efficiency
• Cloud Integration : Assist in Exadata Cloud Service (Azure OCI AWS Alibaba) deployments ensuring scalability and efficiency
• Performance Optimization : Monitor and enhance database performance leveraging Oracle best practices.
• Disaster Recovery & Security : Maintain robust backup and recovery solutions using ZDLRA and RMAN ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with cross-functional teams including infrastructure security and application / game development to support business needs.
• Compliance & Governance : Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements for database management.

These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately your specific range and offer will be based on several factors including relevant experience performance and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this roles range details for your local geography during the hiring addition to a competitive base pay employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation.
