job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMust be able to join daily standups virtually or physically (usually 9-10am ET) Working with M&T database team to provision new Exadata instances Setup and maintenance of application-specific database roles (e.g. OFSAA_STG_RO, OFSAA_STG_RW) with environment-specific requirements (R / W in DEV, R / O in PROD) Maintain automated quarterly recertification report for users, roles, permissions Maintain automated CI / CD pipelines for DDL / DML changes (Redgate Flyway) Perform code review of developer DDL / DML commits (Gitlab). Request developers to provide pre / post change runtimes of queries to avoid major performance degradation after release to PROD. Migration of large datasets between environments either by ourselves or by working with the DB team. We do not have access to the filesystem on Exadata (i.e. expdp, impdp). Monitoring tablespace usage in all environments. Proactively implementing purging scripts or identifying & moving objects (e.g. indexes) to a new tablespace. Converting non-partitioned tables to partitioned. Troubleshooting of slow ad-hoc queries or application-generated queries. Must be experienced going beyond typical analysis (gather stats, check explain plan, run AWR, tuning advisor) the developers are doing themselves today. What can you suggest when all the usual "quick fixes" do not work? Gathering of schema-level statistics, knowledge of table-level gathering and column heuristics Perform disaster recovery (DR) exercises annually (fairly simple due to Exadata platform setup) Monitor and troubleshoot daily / monthly processes that are primarily built / executed within Oracle (e.g. refresh materialized views)
