Position Summary :

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Science Instructor to implement a standards-based curriculum tailored to the needs of our students. This role supports academic achievement and reinforces positive behavior, contributing to a safe and caring school community.

Responsibilities :

Develop and deliver effective lesson plans

Monitor academic progress and tailor instruction as needed

Provide extra academic support outside of class time

Promote respectful and appropriate student behavior

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning environment

Participate in professional development activities

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or the ability to obtain it

Minimum of 21 years old

Prior experience working with youth preferred

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Must pass DCFS background check and fingerprinting
