The scope of work for a Respiratory Therapist includes assessment, therapeutic intervention and education for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or associated complications. Offer diagnosis results and treatment suggestions based on the analysis of the patient.

Must be a registry eligible graduate of an approved program of Respiratory Care. Must obtain / have the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential per state licensure requirements. Must obtain the Registered Respiratory Therapist credential within six months of hire.

Must maintain a valid or Temporary Permit to practice in Respiratory Care in state(s) of practice. Must obtain site specific specialty credential(s) such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), etc.
