Position Description : Responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the company's facilities and ensuring that the facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained, with all maintenance activities carried out efficiently and effectively. Primary Job Responsibilities : Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance staff and contractors, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, setting priorities, and conducting performance evaluations. Ensure that all facilities are maintained in a safe and operational condition, including conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly. Oversee the maintenance, scheduled and emergency tasks, and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems. Work with external contractors and vendors, ensuring that work is completed to the required standards. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of all facilities, including maintaining an inventory of required supplies. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies. Manage the work request system, ensuring prompt communication with requestors and completion of tasks. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate the response to facility-related incidents. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. Assist in the management of building construction projects. Perform other related duties as necessary to support the responsibilities above. Minimum Requirements Associate’s degree in facilities management or a related field and three years of experience in facilities management or construction management. Certifications from the International Facility Management Association or Building Owners Management Association preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Strong understanding of facility management policies, procedures, and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and coordinate with external contractors and vendors. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. Proficiency in using facility management software and tools. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks as required. Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle as needed for the role. Working knowledge of building HVAC, various mechanical systems, building management systems, and CMMS systems a plus. Additional Requirements Some travel between office locations is required. Ability to work outside of regular business hours in order to support projects. Ability to be on-call outside of regular business hours in order to respond to building emergencies 24 / 7 / 365.
