Overall purpose of the job :

The University of Manchester is embarking on a significant journey across its Research Portfolio. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Communications and Engagement Manager to lead the development and delivery of impactful communications and engagement strategies that support change initiatives for our Research community.

This role demands a highly skilled and experienced change communications professional with experience in leading and delivering an effective programme of communications and engagement in a Research environment. The role holder should have a strong leadership presence, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence at all levels.

They should also have excellent knowledge of change management practice and how the communications plan should work together effectively with change management plans to achieve support, buy in and adoption of this transformation.

As a key member of the programme team, the Communications and Engagement Manager will ensure that communications drive clarity, alignment, and engagement across all levels of the organisation, enabling successful adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working.
