job_description.job_card.job_descriptionOngoing supervision of foster families on caseload. Promote the protection of children placed in foster homes from further traumatic incidents. Conduct announced and unannounced visits to foster homes, schools, daycares, etc. to determine children's progress update. Ensure children's basic and treatment needs are being met daily by their foster parents (shelter, food, family contacts, education / IEP / 504 plan, person hygiene supplies, medical, dental, vision care, therapy / counseling, medication management and psychiatry. That critical appointments are scheduled and kept by the foster parents. Protection of all children on the case load from re-traumatization. Continuously represent agency's best interest in the community as you go about your daily activities.
Due to expansion and recent new additions, a private treatment foster-care agency in Columbus, Ohio has several case management openings for qualified persons with social work degrees or background. We are interested in individuals who are committed to work with children and families in foster care. Loyalty, dedication, and compassion are qualities that we seek in potential hires and applicants, as the children we serve have experienced different traumas and abandonment issues. So, we seek people who will provide some stability, comfort, and assurance for them, as they navigate their way through the child welfare system. Successful candidates will supervise foster homes (newly licensed and existing ones) and ensure ongoing safety and protection of all children placed in those homes.
Candidates interested to give back to the community through helping victims of abuse, neglect, exploitation, domestic violence, abandonment, and unruly-delinquent behavior should apply immediately. We offer competitive pay and benefits, plus a flexible and healthy work environment.
Requirements :
- Interested applicants should possess a social work degree and social work license or be eligible to take the license.
- Applicants currently in social work programs may also apply.
- Applicants who have a degree in related fields but grandfathered as LSW should also apply.
- Applicants must have reliable transportation, good driving record and current driver's license, as the job requires conducting visits to school and foster homes.
- Only applicants who are compassionate, dedicated, committed, responsible, and grounded should apply.
