Construction Inspector - Lead
Incumbents perform complex technical skilled work in the inspection of public works construction projects, utility work performed in the public right-of-way and oversee contract inspectors working small projects. Provides plan review, construction quality assurance through physical inspection of construction site, and project coordination, as well as site development inspections for compliance. Incumbents function as a technical advisor and lead to other Construction Inspectors.
Education and / or experience : High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience in public works construction inspection, utility construction or related field engineering work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations : Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
Selection process : Applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview.
