The AI Automation Engineer is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated and AI-based solutions to improve legal workflows. This role requires legal knowledge, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to drive innovation and efficiency. The Automation Engineer will collaborate with practice and business stakeholders to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the firm, while staying at the forefront of legal technology trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to proactively identify process improvement opportunities, gather requirements, design and deliver solutions that align with customer needs.
- Review, analyze, and model business processes and information flows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Propose solutions (including automation and use of AI); identify alignment with business requirements; and make recommendations.
- Document process change requirements using agreed standards, methods, and tools ensuring consistent high-quality output.
- Design and implement automated solutions using the Microsoft Studio ecosystem.
- Define, develop, and deliver processes and systems to ensure that service levels align with customer experience expectations.
- Effectively communicate with key stakeholders at all levels and across departments to ensure engagement and support of business improvement activities.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing software systems and databases.
- Provide technical oversight and review of work from junior team members.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new applications and automations, as well as enhance and maintain existing ones.
- Display professionalism, quality service, and a positive "can-do" attitude to internal members / departments of the firm.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure automation initiatives are aligned with broader firm goals.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
