WINDOWS AUTOMATION ENGINEER
W2 CONTRACT - HYBRID
St. Petersburg FL, NYC, Memphis, TN, Southfield , MI and Denver, CO
Summary :
Using business driven requirements, plans, designs and building enterprise automation to manage our independent client endpoints. Engineers and tests technology solutions meet business requirements in reporting and compliance. Monitors the day-to-day performance of the infrastructure and works with project teams on the integration of new systems. Creates strategies and develops resolutions for complex problems, incidents, and outage situations.
- The ability to identify technical and business processes that can be automated and can implement that automation.
- Able to use PowerShell and other tools to access Graph and Restful APIs to gather dissimilar data, perform advanced analysis of that data and action that data into reports or perform remediation. Use the same APIs to perform the remediation.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
Experience and Skills :
Knowledge of the following mandatory :
PowerShell expert
Experience in programmatically reporting, by connecting to multiple systems leveraging API’s and sanitizing / normalizing data for actionable tasks.
CICD pipeline knowledge
Automating with Tanium or other system management products.
Reporting and metric presentation
Knowledge of the following is strongly preferred :
Expert in Windows Workstation Operating Systems.
Application packaging and deployment
Security best practices for Windows-based systems CIS benchmarks
Basic IP network design practices and principles.
System monitoring and event analysis and troubleshooting skills.
Other, assigned area knowledge and systems.
Education :
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and five (5) years of relevant experience in assigned area or combination or education, experience and training equaling 5+ years at the Enterprise level
Notes from hiring manager :
Role is for local candidates only to work hybrid model minimum 2 days per week at one of the following locations : St. Pete, NYC, Memphis, Southfield and Denver. no fully remote options. St. Pete and Denver are the top preferred locations
Need strong Windows Engineering experience with systems automation (Win 10 desktop, workstations. It’s a Windows heavy role
Need experience with PowerShell scripting, Windows Forms, InTune and Enterprise level SW deployment projects
Experience with Tanium is a value add. Also need experience with PowerShell, Jenkins and SNOW exposure is a plus
Role may convert to FTE based on performance and future project work
Project work involves supporting independent Financial Advisors
