Nesco Resource is in search of a Project Engineer to join our client's team at their Milford, CT location.
JOB SUMMARY :
The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting engineering operations by combining technical expertise with project leadership. This is a hands-on role that ensures engineering projects meet technical specifications, timelines, and cost objectives while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Project Engineer serves as a key point of contact, coordinating efforts between design, manufacturing, and other functional areas to drive successful project execution. Reports to the VP of Engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist in the design, development and implementation of engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet technical, cost and schedule requirements.
- Support manufacturing and production teams by providing engineering guidance and troubleshooting issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards and engineering best practices.
- Help coordinate workflow to meet project milestones and customer requirements.
- Participate in the testing and validation of engineering designs and process improvements.
- Assist in training and onboarding team members on technical processes and project-related tasks.
- Monitor project conditions and notify management of any risks, delays, or necessary adjustments.
- Support and participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain open communication with the Vice President of Engineering and other departments to support seamless project execution.
- Lead by example in professionalism, problem-solving, and technical excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of engineering and production objectives.
