Position Overview
The Mechanic : Small Engine / Generator Specialist is responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining a range of generator systems including gasoline diesel and propane-powered units. This includes preventative maintenance warranty claim documentation and both shop- and field-based service. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical systems with the ability to communicate findings and solutions clearly to customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair small engines including gasoline diesel and propane-powered generators.
- Perform preventative maintenance and servicing on a variety of generator models.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical system issues quickly and accurately.
- Complete detailed warranty documentation including service reports and parts usage.
- Communicate professionally with customers to explain diagnostics and repair options.
- Maintain an organized safe and clean work area.
- Stay current with manufacturer updates service bulletins and technical training.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
