Payroll Analyst
This role contributes to Starbucks' success by ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for partners. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for preparing, validating, and inputting payroll data, while modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks' guiding principles.

Key Projects & Responsibilities
Primary Project :
Support day-to-day payroll operations to allow internal partners to focus on the Pay Mod Project.
Daily Responsibilities Include :
Cycle processing (on / off cycle, separations)
Partner communication and guidance validation
Identifying process gaps and proposing improvements
Ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment
Escalating concerns and applying payroll best practices
Supporting partner understanding of payroll processes
Identifying learning opportunities to enhance team expertise
Team Interaction :
Highly collaborative with cross-functional teams.
Candidate Requirements
Technology Skills :
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)
Smartsheets
SAP (preferred) or other HR software
SuccessFactors (preferred)
Experience :
Minimum 2+ years of payroll experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience with full-cycle payroll processing including time entry, separations, banking, garnishments, multi-state payroll, and bonuses
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong customer service orientation
Works well independently and in a team environment
Nice-to-Haves :
Relevant certifications
Experience with Federal / State / Local or Provincial labor, payroll, garnishment, and tax law
Disqualifiers : Frequent job changes
Poorly formatted resumes or typos
Inability to manage multiple priorities

Lack of full-cycle payroll experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00 / hr.
