Job Description and Duties
Under general supervision of the Accounting Administrator I - Supervisor, the Accounting Officer Spec (AO) is responsible for independently performing professional accounting duties of average difficulty and requires an understanding of the accounting processes, , including but not limited to payment processing functions in the Financial Information Systems for California (FI$Cal) to counties and private providers out of special fund for growth cap penalty payment and other funds by the by the State Controller's Office (SCO) or through the Office Revolving Fund. Reconcile data and other required transaction documents of adjustments with the SCO to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. The incumbent exercises moderate control in the administration of the Departments established policies and procedures along with control agencies and has ongoing contact with management, program, other government offices, vendors and members of the public.
