This is a contract position covering a leave of absence, with the potential to become the primary accounting contact for cash and banking transactions. The role involves active participation in both internal and external cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve cash and bank statement issues. The position requires making recommendations for process improvements and demands a detail-oriented approach in reviewing bank statements and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will interact well with Treasury personnel and will be responsible for preparing and recording journal entries, maintaining account and variance analyses for balance sheet and income statement accounts, and preparing audit schedules for internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

Serve as the accounting contact for cash and banking transactions.

Participate in cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve cash and bank statement issues.

Establish and recommend changes to processes.

Review bank statements and reconciliations with attention to detail.

Interact with Treasury personnel effectively.

Prepare and record journal entries.

Maintain account and variance analyses for balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Prepare audit schedules in support of internal and external audits.

Essential Skills

B.S. in accounting or finance.

4 years of experience in accounting or finance.

Managerial experience.

Experience in bank reconciliations and cash accounting.

Advanced Excel skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience with JDE and SAP general ledger systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CPA certification.

Experience with SAP.

Process improvement skills.

Work Environment

This position offers a remote work opportunity with first shift hours, preferably in Eastern Standard Time. The dress code is business casual.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00 / hr.
