Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This Contract-to-long-term position offers a fantastic opportunity for growth and development within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in QuickBooks, accounts payable, and accounts receivable while demonstrating a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities :

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
• Create and maintain purchase orders, with training provided if necessary.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
• Perform data entry tasks related to financial records and maintain organized documentation.
• Assist in financial reconciliations and gradually take on more advanced responsibilities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to financial procedures and deadlines.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and other relevant documentation.
• Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth transactions.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Adapt to evolving responsibilities in a dynamic work environment. Requirements - Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial transactions and records.
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Familiarity with creating and managing purchase orders, with a willingness to learn if needed.
• Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication abilities, particularly when working with vendors and team members.
• Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus but not required.
