Summary

The Finance Manager supports the Controller in managing the organization's daily accounting and finance operations. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, oversees select team members, and contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements. The Finance Manager also provides analytical support for decision-making while helping maintain compliance with internal controls and external reporting requirements.

Essential Functions

• Cash Flow Monitoring – Track daily cash activity, prepare short-term forecasts, and escalate variances to the Controller.
• Financial Reporting – Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports; assist in year-end reporting.
• Budget & Forecast Support – Collaborate with department heads to collect budget data, monitor actual vs. budget results, and prepare variance explanations.
• Audit Assistance – Coordinate with auditors and prepare requested schedules for annual tax, insurance, and 401(k) plan audits.
• Process & Policy Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and improve efficiency.
• Ad-hoc Analysis – Perform financial analysis and reporting to support management requests.
