Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk (Level IV) is responsible for performing a variety of bookkeeping and accounting tasks under direct supervision. This position supports the accounting department by posting journal and voucher entries, reconciling accounts, verifying documentation, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent data entry skills, and a solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Post journal and voucher entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Verify, sort, and process claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers.
- Prepare and match payments, purchase orders, and other accounting documents.
- Create, edit, and maintain spreadsheets and financial reports.
- Prepare bank deposits and perform other routine calculations as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries and research accounting discrepancies or complaints.
- Perform basic clerical and administrative tasks to support the accounting function.
- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
