Overview
A property management firm in the Pittsburgh area is seeking an
Accountant
to join its growing team. This organization manages a substantial portfolio of commercial and residential properties. The company is known for its stability, strong leadership, and commitment to professional growth.
This position will report directly to the Controller and CFO and offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of accounting functions across multiple entities within a well-structured accounting department.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for a diverse portfolio of real estate entities
Prepare trial balances, monthly / quarterly / annual financial statements, and journal entries
Support the month-end close and financial reporting process
Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
Perform and support commercial CAM reconciliations
Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses for leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or real estate / property management
Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Proficiency with Excel; experience with Yardi and ProSystem fx Tax Software a plus
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment
