We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team and support the Accounting Department.

The Ideal Candidate

The Main Duties

  • Process daily accounting operations, including ACH, share drafts, and wires.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support external and internal audits, examinations, and regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist members and staff with accounting-related inquiries in alignment with PSCU’s mission and values.
  • Collaborate with leadership on projects, system upgrades, and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

    • The Must-Have List

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a credit union or financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred.
