Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part-time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ.
Hours : 15-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.
Specific Summary of Duties :
- Assist Dean of General Studies, Dean of Applied Sciences, Director of Curriculum, and Academic Coordinators in performing their administrative, planning, and teaching functions
- Provide outstanding customer service to administration, faculty, and students
- Possess great communication skills including answering telephones, greeting visitors, solving problems and inquiries.
- Create and compose administrative correspondence and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality with files and information
- Support for associated Academic activities including schedules, calendar, meeting details and set up
- Assist in technical support for copies and equipment, keeps workroom orderly, stocked, and inventoried for supplies, papers, etc.
- Distribute mail
- Oversee classroom equipment and materials on a weekly basis
- Other duties as assigned
