Openwork is proud to partner with Harris County in hiring Certified 911 Dispatchers / Communications Specialists to support critical law enforcement operations.

This part-time role is ideal for experienced professionals who want to stay active in public safety , supplement their hours, and make a real difference — without the demands of a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities :

• Answer and dispatch law enforcement calls with accuracy and professionalism.
• Operate CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems to create and manage call slips.
• Use TCIC / NCIC via OpenFox to run warrants, enter stolen property, verify identities, and manage records.
• Handle tow slips, abandoned vehicle reports, and inter-agency transfers.
• Provide clear, reliable radio communication while multitasking across multiple channels.
• Prioritize calls and resources under pressure, ensuring deputies receive timely support.
• Maintain precise dispatch logs and documentation.
• Support deputies, supervisors, and partner agencies with accurate, real-time information flow.
