Strong soldering and rework capabilities, especially with fine-pitch and complex components. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and using diagnostic test equipment. Familiarity with ESD safety protocols and IPC standards; IPC-7711 / 7721 certification is a plus. Experience with BGA rework and manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Ability to tolerate a variety of work conditions, including loud environments and temperature fluctuations. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced technical environment. $25.00 to $30.00 per hour Monday to Friday 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM
Our client is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Technician to support their electronics debugging and rework operations in Round Rock, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing electronic components to join a dynamic, engineering-driven team. The ideal candidate will possess precision soldering skills, the ability to interpret schematics, and a passion for solving complex hardware issues. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working alongside engineering and production teams to bring hardware back to life, this role is for you.
The Day-to-Day :
- Diagnose and repair electronic circuits, including motherboards, power supplies, and peripheral devices.
- Perform precision soldering and rework, including SMT, through-hole, and BGA components.
- Utilize various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.
- Accurately document all repairs, test results, and diagnostic findings.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
